E-2010 Encoder

The Whelen E-2010 TWO WAY Encoder/System Moniter

Whelen systems use a high speed Dual Tone MultiFormat (DTMF) method of encoding. Because of the critical timing used in Whelen's encoding system, security is as great as any other system and better than most. DTMF methods allow for as few as one or as many as 10,000 unique addresses to be employed in any one system. This allows for single site operation, multiple site operation, zone addressing, multiple commands to the units and two way reporting of the units in the field.

The Whelen E-2010 Encoder is unlimited in functions for encoding and reporting on systems. It can be used in conjunction with other Whelen model encoders or as a stand alone unit. It can be used with optional software for mapping and control of your outdoor warning system.

With TWO-WAY systems you can poll individual sites or the entire system. Each site will perform a full functional silent test of their electronics, including speakers and wiring. Each site polled will then report back its operational condition giving you printed assurance that your system is fully functional. Many cities poll the entire siren system each morning when they do their morning fire department radio test. By keeping the printouts of these morning test, they have full documentation of operational status of the entire system.

The E-2010 has capability of individually addressing any number of sites. It is used in full two way systems, normally in conjunction with other encoders located at back up sites and dispatch centers.

The E-2010 comes with 56 front panel buttons which are usually programmed as MACRO keys. They simulate any number of combinations of key strokes which perform the functions you desire.

It has ports for controlling more than one system. It can be used to control systems which are normally independant of each other, even when the different systems are on different radio frequencies or bands.
